WHAT IS TRUE JUSTICE?

WHAT IS TRUE JUSTICE?

True justice is in the application of judgment that is not based on and generated by our personal fears, anger, and hatred. This means that true justice is in the application of judgment rooted in love for the good of all (1Thessalonians 5:15). This can involve discipline or punishment that is intended to heal and restore a person to the wholeness and balance of love, in response to the action that is in violation of the true nature and freedom of love, and which is therefore, hurtful to self and others (Hebrews 12:9-11). Basically true justice can only come from a love that is free from the conditions we place upon love, and therefore is free to act from pure goodness to bring about healing and restoration through its application and redemptive nature, which gives and restores life to the fractured, broken pieces of a person’s life from which their loveless actions spring forth.

We adulterate pure love with our prejudices. Prejudices are preconceived opinions and judgments that are rooted in fear, and they are therefore, hate based by looking at another as our enemy or the enemy of society based on our perceived fear of threat. God is the pure source of love which is unconditional in nature, and therefore cannot be destroyed or diminished by conditions or actions outside love’s true nature (Psalm 36:9; 1John 4:7,8) God’s love is referred to in the Bible as Light (1John 1:5 compare with 2:9,10).

Jesus said to love our enemies, and not to return evil for evil (Mathew 5:38,39,44; 1Thessalonians 5:15). He taught the power of love is in nonresistance which is non judgment (Luke 6:35-37; Mathew 5:38,39; John 3:16). He said “He who lives by the sword will die by the sword” (Mathew 26:52). This statement simply means that war and violence makes more of the same, and never truly resolves anything because it can’t reach the root of the problem. It is a dead end! It means that a person, society, or nation that lives depending on its military strength and or power over others to resolve conflict, will eventually fail and die in their pursuit. When Jesus said “he who lives by the sword” He was referring to a “mind set” of looking for the answers or solutions to conflict in the power of resistance through violence or the threat of violence. The “enemy” is never really “conquered” through force, only temporarily subdued. However the “enemy” can be “conquered” or permanently transformed through the experience and personal realization of unconditional love. That alone brings about the perfection and unity of the love that Jesus spoke about in John 17:23,26, and which He said is our only true witness to the world to draw others into the realization and unity of that love.

True justice is born of love it is the fruit of the “tree of life” rooted in love and compassion, and mercy and reveals the heart of grace (James 2:8,12,13; Mathew 23:23; Luke 11:42; Galatians 5:22; Hebrews 10:16-22; Ephesians 5:2,8,9; Philippians 1:9,11; John 1:17). The Bible teaches that the power of transformation exists only in unconditional love (1John 4:7-13,16-19; Romans 12:21; Luke 6:35-38; Titus 3:4,5; Ephesians 3:19,20). It says that God is just and the justifier of those who place their trust in Jesus atonement sacrifice for their sins, and are thereby reborn in their heart and spirit through His love by the free gift of His grace and righteousness bestowed by grace (Romans 3:22-26; 5:5; 1Peter 1:2,3)

The Bible says that grace and truth are realized through Jesus Christ (John 1:17). Absolute Truth is found in the revelation of His love (Psalm 36:9; Ephesians 3:17-19; John14:6; Colossians 2:2,3 1Corinyhians 13:8,9,10,12,13; John 8:31,32,34,36; 14:6,16,17,18,23; 18:37; 17:23,26). His love reveals the truth principles of the life sustaining wisdom and power of His love, and fills you with the light of life (Psalm 36:9; John 8:12; 1John 1:1,2,5; 2:10; 3:11,14; Colossians 2:2,3). It is indestructible! (1John 4:8; Psalm 36:9).

True justice is never divorced from the heart of pure love (Luke 11:42; John 1:17; Romans 8:33,34,38,39; Luke 23:34). True justice creates the atmosphere in which true change and healing can take place. It is never fueled by hatred, un-forgiveness, or fear. The Bible says that those who accept God’s gift of grace and salvation in Christ are freed from the power of sin because they are no longer ruled by fear, under the penalty of the Law given by Moses, but are ruled under the power and freedom of grace, which overcomes the power of sin in our life through the revelation in Christ of the unconditional love of God in our minds and hearts (Romans 6:6,14; 8:1,2,15; Hebrews 2:14,15; John 8:31,32,34,36).

Jesus came to reveal that love to mankind, and lift us out of the judgment nature of our fears, hatred, and prejudices, all of which exist in conditional love, which is what the Bible actually calls the sin nature (1John 3:4,5; 4:18,19). You can read and learn the way of true justice and redemption through His love in the pages of the Bible. The Bible says in Colossians 2:2,3,10 that in Christ is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and that in Him we are made complete. His grace through His atonement sacrifice on the cross, and resurrection, is the greatest action of true justice and of love on our behalf in Human history. In Him the revelation of unconditional and unadulterated love is gradually realized and we are perfected in that love and freed from the power of sin (1John 4:8-12,14,16-19; John 17:23,26; 15:12.13; Ephesians 3:17-19).

Sin itself is injustice. It violates the purity of love. As already mentioned, falling short of love is what the Bible calls sin (1John 3:4). That is the only form of injustice! You cannot “cure” injustice with more injustice or loveless actions or motivations. That is why Jesus said to love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you (Mathew 5:43-48; Luke 6:27,28,29,35,36,37). The law to be truly just must be governed and ruled by love in its enforcement and application, in order to bring about true healing and transformation. The human application of law is always flawed because it is created and applied and enforced within their limited conditional perception of love, and filtered through personal prejudices and limitations.

Jesus took upon Himself all of our sins and sickness on the Cross so that in Him we can find true unconditional love and forgiveness, and be completely healed as we surrender our life to the power of His love through faith (Isaiah 53:4,5,11,12; 1Peter 2:24; 1John 4:7-10,17,18; Galatians 5:6; Colossians 2:12,13; Ephesians 3:17,18,19). He promises to never leave us or forsake us, and promises His love will dwell in our hearts forever and He will send the Holy Spirit of His love to guide us into all truth and fill us with His love (Hebrews 13:5; John 17:23,26; 16:7,13,14,15; Romans 5:5; Ephesians 3:17-19; 2Thessalonians 3:5).

He will give you a new beginning (2Corinthians 5:17,21). When you accept His love and ask Him to come into your heart, forgive you of your sins and dwell in you with His eternal Spirit of love, you will receive His gift of righteousness and be transferred out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of the eternal light of life (Colossians 1:13,14; John 8:12; Psalm 36:9; Romans 5:17,20,21). You will be a new creation in Christ and He will guide you and perfect you in His love (2Corinthians 5:17; John 17:23,26; 1John 4:7-12,14,16-19; Galatians 3:3,5; Titus 3:4-6).
